Peugeot Boxer & E-Boxer in Crewe Cheshire
Built for the biggest jobs, the Peugeot Boxer offers 8-17m3 of load space with four body lengths and three roof heights. The new, Euro 6.3 compliant 2.2 BlueHDi engine kicks out 120PS/310Nm or 140PS/340Nm of torque with a 90-litre fuel tank. Or why not go 100% electric? The E-Boxer offers 11.5-15m3 of load space and is offered with a 37kWh, 73 mile battery or a 75kWh, 154 mile battery. Charging from 0-80% at 50kW takes an hour, and you can enter congestion charge and clean air zones for free.
The only trim availible is the Professional Premium +. This model has several handy extras, including a 5” touchscreen with integrated sat nav, rear parking sensors, and air conditioning. Front electric windows, remote central locking, DAB radio, Bluetooth and Hill Start Assist. Diesel models meet Euro 6.3 emissions standards, but it’s electric versions that are the cleanest and cheapest to run, saving you up to two thirds on running costs.
Design
The Boxer’s friendly face and boxy shape make a great first impression, with multiple lengths and roof heights to suit your fleet. Inside, the cabin has space for three passengers, with lots of cubby spaces and eight rear tie down hooks.
Drive
You can add a rear-view camera optionally, and the Drive Assist Pack adds Speed Limit Recognition and Recommendation and Lane Departure Warning System. Both the diesel and electric models are smooth, quiet, and cheap to run.
Practicality
The Boxer has 180° rear doors and a nearside sliding side loading door wide enough for a Euro pallet. 270° doors are optional. The load volume ranges from 8m3 to 17m3 in diesel models and 11.5 to 15m3 in electric variants.
Living with it
The Boxer’s smooth ride and handy features like rear parking sensors and cruise control (Professional) make it a pleasure to drive. Optionally, you can add Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Traffic Alert for enhanced safety.
